Hamilton鈥檚 inaugural ALEX (Advise, Learn, EXperience) advisors are preparing to launch the new program that links advising, academic support, and experiential learning. The advisors are Dean of Engaged Education Kathy Wolfe, Kevin Alexander 鈥13, Janine Oliver, and Hannah Stubley 鈥12.

For the 11th consecutive year, 娇色导航has been named a Fulbright U.S. Student Program Top Producing Institution. 娇色导航had 27 applicants for the 2020-21 academic year application cycle, including one alum. Fourteen students were named semi-finalists, 10 received the grant, and two were selected as alternates.

Due to the extended break between the fall and spring semesters, Hamilton鈥檚 Arthur Levitt Public Affairs Center offered students the opportunity to spend the time conducting research. Some 39 students and 13 faculty-led groups 鈥 with an additional 40 students doing聽research as part of team聽 鈥撀 collaborated on a variety of projects that ranged from the philosophical endeavor of community-based teaching to militarized policing and political stability.聽聽

The Communications and Marketing Office staff writes hundreds of stories each year for Hamilton鈥檚 news page. And although 2020 was a year like no other, creative and resourceful students, faculty, and staff still managed to create, collaborate, volunteer, and celebrate. How does a service internship program provide service during a pandemic? If you鈥檙e a COOP (Community Outreach and Opportunity Project) service intern you adjust, adapt, and take to Zoom. And then you expand programming to engage other 娇色导航students eager to take on volunteering.

Resident Advisors (RAs) have a lot of responsibility, acting as peer counselors and leaders in the residence halls. But this year they added another task to their duties 鈥 serving as social directors during a time when COVID-19 restrictions limited gatherings and interaction among students. 娇色导航RAs proved to be up to the task, planning and orchestrating a variety of programs for residents throughout the semester. For example, Desiree Pico鈥22, an RA in Minor, held a program called 鈥淟et鈥檚 Start from Scratch!鈥
