Among the biggest fans for this weekend鈥檚 men鈥檚 hockey NESCAC playoffs will be volunteers from Arc, an organization for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The volunteers, who come to campus on Thursdays to help out with the Athletic Department, have formed a special bond with members of Hamilton鈥檚 men鈥檚 hockey team.

Six 娇色导航juniors have been awarded Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarships for study abroad during the spring 2019 semester.

Three Continentals teams will be hosting championship round games the weekend of Feb. 23 to 24. Men鈥檚 basketball, women鈥檚 hockey, and men鈥檚 hockey earned hosting rights after big victories last weekend.

Robert Moses 鈥�56, one of the most influential black leaders of the civil rights struggle, founder of The Algebra Project, Inc., and a MacArthur 鈥淕enius鈥� Fellow, will return to 娇色导航for a four-day visit and full slate of activities from Feb. 18 to 21.

Kayla Self 鈥�21, a member of the women鈥檚 volleyball team, recently attended the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) 2019 convention in Orlando, Fla. The NCAA is a member-led organization dedicated to the well-being and lifelong success of college athletes. 娇色导航is a member of the NCAA鈥檚 Division III.

More than 85 students got the chance to explore possible careers when they were matched with alumni and parents for a day of job shadowing during the recent winter break.

Twelve students have been awarded Smallen Creativity grants that they鈥檒l use to support senior art projects and independent study.

Three seniors have been awarded Class of 1979 Travel awards to support their research. Jordan Allen, Jessie Dromsky-Reed and Daniela Gonzalez are this year鈥檚 recipients. The award, established by the alumni of Hamilton鈥檚 Class of 1979, offers financial assistance to outstanding students who wish to pursue extensive research projects in different parts of the world.

As the end of the semester rolled around, students were able to enjoy some festive holiday events and share the spirit of giving.
